If you’re looking to reassess the energy consumption of your kitchen, you’re not alone.
Singer Equipment Company has an impressive portfolio of Pitco fryers in stock so you can make the decision that’s right for your business—and the planet—today.
“Folks are more conscious of not directly using fossil fuels and looking for alternative energy sources,” says Joe Ferri, President of Pecinka Ferri, one of the manufacturer’s representatives for Pitco in the United States. “Fryers do command a lot of energy so it’s a low hanging fruit for energy conservation.”
The SG14RS, in stock at Singer, is just one of those models. It was Pitco’s first energy efficient model to enter the market.
“This unit is still built like a Pitco,” says Ferri. “We’ve not sacrificed anything in the robust qualities that we’ve been known for.”
Pitco has since introduced several other Energy Star certified models to the market. The SSH75-1FD fits the bill and qualifies some operators for the Energy Star rebate program.
At Uncle Giuseppe’s supermarket chain in Long Island, efficiency matters. That’s why Singer specified this model for their catering kitchen.
“In this case, the customer needed a reliable and simple to operate fryer dedicated to their seafood offering. The operator preferred to have a built-in undermounted filtration system that was safe and simple to operate,” says Eugene Beniaminson, Equipment Specialist for Singer Equipment Company. “Easy to use controls, a large 18x18 cooking area and an energy efficient rating, all added up to be the right choice both financially and operationally.”
What this Solstice model offers in energy efficiency does not take away from its production capacity. Pitco’s patented Solstice Burner technology helps circulate oil inside the fryer to keep heat evenly distributed and recovery quicker.
“If you knew how many chicken cutlets came out of that thing, you’d be shocked,” says Nick Stripp, Director of Facilities & Construction for Uncle Giuseppe’s. “We make a lot of chicken parm. Pitco is a great company. We’ve standardized them as our brand for fryers.”
Another case study is at the Island Empanada franchise, also in Long Island.
“The fryer is the most important piece of equipment for us,” says Roy Pelaez, President & Founder. With a menu that relies heavily on frying capabilities, Pelaez was confident in the Energy Star models.
“We love the Pitco VF35. It works perfectly for our needs,” he says. “They recover very quickly. We absolutely love the product. It uses less gas, it’s more efficient and it’s saving me money.”
The P20-18 is just one of many other Pitco models that are Energy Star certified.
